The new stones have arrived for the inside of the Chapel.
These stones will be cut and placed into the areas of the floor where currently there is a concrete filler.
Soon, the entire floor of the Chapel will be stone rather than a mixture of stone and concrete as it is now.
The trench in the picture opposite has been created to house the new services and heating pipes that will be introduced into the Chapel over the next few weeks and months.
The trench starts at the Baptistry and travels towards the centre of the Chapel.
Currently, the entire west end of the Chapel is out of bounds to visitors whilst this work is underway.
